BBC Striders

 

The Striders have about 50 members of all ages and abilities, including walkers. We meet at Belleville High School Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 8 a.m. to run and walk. We tend to break up into smaller groups according to pace and distance. The usual run is about 4 to 6 miles but is sometimes longer. There are also other informal groups that get together at different times during the week (for example, a group usually runs and walks at Lower Huron Metro Park most Sunday mornings).

 

Dues are $20 per year for an individual, $25 for a family and include a Strider t-shirt upon joining. We publish our own newsletter several times a year. Club members get a discount at Running Fit and Tortoise & Hare. We also have several other social activities such as an annual family picnic. We welcome runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to come out and join us anytime. There are no pace or distance requirements, only an interest in staying fit and having fun. BBC stands for Belleville Breakfast Club so we definitely enjoy eating!
