| Strider Happenings! Annual O'Maas Run/WalkOur Annual Strider
St.
Patrick's Day celebration was held Saturday, March 12th at the
O'Maas homestead. Group photos preceded the
run/walk under sunny skies and with relatively mild temperatures. The infamous "Buffet Line" featuring corned beef and cabbage,
green pancakes,
Dearborn sausage and the usual assortment of delicious Strider dishes capped off the celebration. Thanks to Larry & Myriam for once again hosting this favorite Strider event!
The BBC Striders aren't just about running, walking and eating. Below is a calendar of some of the other cross-training and social activities that were on our 2010 schedule. We will be planning more fun activities for 2011! Wednesday, January 27, 2010 6:30 pm | Core Fitness Class and Discounted Shopping Restock your running/walking clothes and shoes and try something new. Tortoise & Hare on Plymouth Road ~ All fitness levels are welcome! | Friday - Sunday January 29 - 31, 2010 | Up North Fun & Fitness Partake in some fun winter time activities with the Striders up in Indian River. | Saturday, February 6, 2010 7:05 pm | Plymouth Whaler's Hockey Game We have center ice seats as the Plymouth Whalers take on Owen Sound at Compuware Arena. |
Friday, February 12, 2010 8:00 pm | Strider Ballroom Dance Night Learn the Fox Trot at Come Dancing on Michigan Ave in Saline. After the free 45 minute dance lesson, you can show off your new moves at the dance party from 8:45 to 10 pm. |
Saturday, February 27, 2010 11:30 am | Strider Yoga Here's your chance to experience yoga in the tradition of Mr. B.K.S. Iyengar. A 90 minute class for all levels will be offered at Yoga Focus in Ann Arbor. |

Join us at Riggs Park for a Mini-Relay for dogs to honor the care giving qualities of our canine "Best Friends". $10 registration fee includes a "Bark For Life" bandanna for your dog. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Belleville!

Saturday & Sunday, May 15 & 16, 2010 10 am - 10 am | Relay For Life of Belleville Join us at the Belleville High School Track as we "Stride to Fight Cancer!" in the American Cancer Society's signature event. Be sure to sign up for our Strider Cancer Challenge and see if you are up to the Challenge of running/walking every hour of the 24 hour Relay!
